This very special edition of Startup ROI is coming to you live from New York City. For those who don't know, I lived in New York prior to making the move to Paris. More specifically, in Brooklyn (or BREW-KLEEN as the French say). Sadly, I haven't had a chance to come visit since the start of the pandemic, so it's been a pleasure to reunite with family and friends. In addition to long-awaited reunions, I've had the opportunity to connect with some new folks in the newsletter, venture capital & startup community over here. Without giving away too much detail, I'm more excited than ever for the future of Startup ROI.

In this discussion with the former Director of La French Tech, Kat Borlongan, you can get a clear sense of why the tech startup ecosystem in France is taking off and the work behind the scenes that's supporting it.

The EF crowd is becoming more and more influential as a non-traditional incubator/investor and recently announced their first unicorn, Tractable. Check out his stuff here!
